if these are guerilla style ads, then why is the tagline and client added in post?
and they don’t make too much sense. why would kids sleep out in the open sidewalk right by the road? wouldn’t they sleep in an alley under an awning away from the rain? or under a tree in a park or someones yard?
and why do poor kids in the philippines need a swimming pool?
yeah, but why would kids sleep on the side of the road? if i was homeless i wouldn’t sleep right on the concrete, nor right on/beside the road.
and the other one looks more like a pool than a tub.
and it would be more effective as guerilla. if they’re going to do it in print they shouldn’t have used chalk but instead a cleaner outline. (like in the one you posted with the speaker drawn around the cymbol).
i don’t know. i’ve been in a really bad mood all week so far.
Those are very powerful statements: this is is a bed to some. Thisis the closest to a pool to some…. or thisis what those children’s wildest dreams look like!
These ads are trying to portray what children are yearning for. Regardless if it is a pool or a bed or a castle in disneyland, they are all dreams that are unattainable to these street children if they do not get some kind of help.
The comment from the freshmaker that these are badly done??? Obviously you have never been without, have you? It is because of arrogant people like you that the world doesn’t change for the better…it just gets worse and worse.

i dont think its geurilla.
I think what they are trying to say here is that the street is the childrens bed. And the pool one seems to be more like a shower/bath for them.

It’s a fact that some of the street kids here in the Philippines do sleep on the sidewalk. I know because I’ve been with them.
Although I do agree with you that the swimming pool thing is a bit of a stretch.

I do think that this ad, will be able to influence the mind of others to donate some money.
