Henkel
Who says direct mail is garbage? Check out this great idea for a direct mail piece from DDB Germany for the Henkel quick drying glue. You receive a package in the mai called the “3D puzzle”, which is actually a broken vase that you can put together with the glue stick. Great idea.
Agency: DDB Germany, Berlin.

How can this possibly be cost-effective?
Maybe if they have a mailing list of craft instructors and an unknown product that really is much better than the competition. It is expensive and risks lawsuits by sending unsolicited ceramic shards in the mail.
Or is this a joke and I didn’t get it?

This direct mail piece was actually b2b and not to the consumer. I doubt it’s cost effective, but it’s a nice “fresh” way to promore a glue stick.
