Perhaos they were seriously considering their target market in Iowa: white kids that were raised good Christians, but bombarded by the glory of gangster videos in high school and college. “Bling” is probably still a popular term in Iowa, no?

Doesn’t all that rap in the U.S. push the idea of male stature, that he should be a provider and all that?

Though. this is also a country that just cancelled Arrested Development for the second time, from what I hear. :-P
