These posters were placed infront of universities, with the phone number written as a formula. Only students smart enough to figure out were able to apply.

a couple of years ago, tbwavancouver did a billboard ad for electronic arts. all it had was a line of code. it turns out that the line of code translated to ‘now hiring’ or something along those lines.

The EA billboard is fairly easy, as is that equation. The EA billboard says “Now Hiring”.

I love these concepts, élitist advertising. Which really drives home a feeling of self accomplishment if you’re one of a few that get it, let alone can do it!

Are people really so stupid that they find that this advertisement presents a difficult math problem? A quick google makes it seem that way. I feel like I’ve slipped into a parallel universe.
