What is that shape? Why can’t I read that shape? Mutant beetle bike helmet? Someone with tighter right-brain- help.

I think it’s just a made-up shape that roughly corresponds to the shape of the GTI.

The print stuff relates to the newer VW GTI stuff (a spoof on “pimp my ride”). Thus, classic tongue-in-cheek CPBness. The Fast is roughly a crossbreed of a demonic rabbit and a cantoloupe. Another trademark CPB move: reference the past (the VW Rabbit) without making it stale and cheesy. How many other agencies would have called this guy a “Speed Demon”? Almost all of them.

the take out ad is good, the others are a little cold and detached.
still, better than the horrible “lovely new golf’ ads that ran in australia a few years ago…

I’m with zeek. I can’t tell what the hell that is in the first ad, and if I’m not the only one, there’s something seriously lacking here.

The others are great, esp. “Auf Wiedersehen, sucka.” I wish my car company (Mazda) had something so robust.
