Bild is a (tabloid) newspaper in germany. They have come up with an interesting guerilla campaign in men’s bathrooms. The line says: “Nothing is harder than the truth”. What are your thoughts on this one ?

I don’t know whether this is true for tabloids in other countries. But here in Germany, “Bild” receives massive ambivalency. Whilst being the most-read “newspaper” in the country the brand alone has become an instant annoyance to anyone who has mentally outgrown its target readership. This is a major conflict when “Bild” is trying to be smart, in its content and/or advertisements.
Personally, my first thoughts were: Figures, “Bild” advertising in a toilet — implicitly — with the picture of people urinating.
i don’t think that it’s such a bad idea. the advertising aspect is a little bizarre, but i’ve seen wierder. in a texas “steak hous styled” resturant, there are pictures of suggestive women in “cowboy”gear above the urinals. that’s a little too much. it’s a tough enough challenge to “go” with somone else standing next to you, do you need the added pressure of sexy images while you are holding your stuff?
They might have had something a little more “meaty” (pardon the pun) if they used different funhouse-style mirrors so some dicks looked huge, others tiny, others malformed. Then paid it off with a line like, “How you see the world depends on where you look. Bild Newspaper.”
its about that the truth hurts (your schnabel istnt that big). And that the truth is the most powerful thing or something.
“Nothing is harder than the truth†In german hard doesnt have anything to do with an erection, to clear the misunderstandings.
It’s kinda cool. I mean it’s a tabloid, if it makes the pisser unconfortable then I say job well done, you got an emotional reaction out of the viewer.

I’d be a little annoyed at having my weener on display in a mirror on the wall while I’m taking a leak.

I don’t like the idea of other people looking to your dick while you taking a leak too. I don’ think is that strong.

I’m aware of several bars in San Francisco that boast a simliar urinal design.

Thanks for the tip! If I see one of these I’ll rip it off … needed a mirror for my bedroom ceiling anyway … since the old one broke somehow.
