Purell
To promote their latest Purell effort, JWT Toronto came up with this unique guerrilla campaign where they placed stickers on the cover of magazines in doctor’s waiting rooms. The stickers have tags like: “Thumbed Through By Sick People Since October 2005,â€Gently Sneezed on Since October 2002,†and “Exposing Patients to More Than Germs Since November 1998.â€
The stickers call out the campaign website, www.washyourhands.tv. Which basically just showes you a timeline and than a link back to Purell.
Agency: JWT, Toronto.

I think this is great. I’m afraid to know what they wrote on the MAXIM cover sticker.
Now I want to wash my hands.

Why would a physician want to remind his/her patients that he/she is offering germ-infested magazines?

Besides, a decent doctor, the kind that doesn’t prescribe antibiotics at the sight of EVERYTHING, would probably tell you that the human body can handle the few germs stuck on a magazine.

A. It was done guerrilla style without their knowing.
B. They own stock in Pfizer.

Boring stuff. Please beware that smart use of any (non)media implies more than just a sticker. Urban spam, remember?

This is just too fake. No way they did it for real. I agree with PZR.

regardless of whether or not you like the campaign, at the very least it’ll enforce waiting rooms to keep their magazine collection current and up-to-date.
