Very nice art direction and photography on these ads. I just can’t help but think of Sony PS2 ads when I look at these.
Agency: BBDO, Toronto.
I like the leg one – but the head one is kind of creepy. Especially since the part of his head that’s on the table is looking back at himself.
upon a larger view…the head – is it eyeing up that girl? Does it really matter? Probably not. But it would be a good side joke in the ad if it were looking up a women’s skirt or eyeing something from that vantage point.
beautiful art direction, super sexy. just a bit creepy. not the best, not the worst. didn’t shatter my world. i just don’t want to be at a party where someone has party tricks as such up their sleeve. The scateboarding one makes me think of prostethic legs though.
Black guys go clubbing, white guys go skating…
I don’t like the cold hipness, but the battery idea is nice.
Sparx, the malted alcoholic beverage with a kick, did a very similar campaign a few years back. Their transit ads featured city busses with cans as batteries, and other metaphors for ‘this can delivers a charge’.
Anybody remember those?
Oh yeah, one more thing.
The ad with the skaterboarders would probably be smirked at by actual skateboarders as inauthentic…the copious use of elbow pads (legal department dictating creative, anyone?) is a dead giveaway.
What’s Kimora Lee Simmons doing in the club ad? Didn’t she get enough money in the divorce settlement? Well, guess everyone needs some extra money (j/k btw).

It is amazing, isn’t it what Sony PS2 managed to create in terms of their advertising imagery.
