Fun little concept. Would this be on a piano? If so, why is the piano key underneath black? If it’s for outdoor, then go print it off and photograph it. The black keys won’t look so fake and I’ll at least believe that this is for a client; real or fake.

This one is from OGILVY BRASIL COMUNICACAO and got a shortlist at the 2004 Cannes festival. And last year, Leo Burnett also got shortlisted in Cannes with IDENTICAL the same idea.

I’ve seen this idea very many times in the music shops around Denmark Street, London. It’s been around for years.

Rye –

I like the black underneath. That way when a key is taken you can see it missing. I think it adds to the visual interest – I think it should catch my attention and make me walk to to it to see why there are keys missing. It also falls on the idea of other tear-offs [think the ones you see on bulletin boards for babysitting at the coffee house bulletin boards] where you tear one off when you put it up giving a clue that you can take one – or that someone already has.

But if not black underneath – maybe a picture of a kid or adult playing piano or something? Then the flier makes you want to peek under the other keys – or reveals another message when it’s done? But I think repeating the key underneath is a mistake.

jejeje, el concepto creativo es bastante bueno, le da un giro fuerte a una publicidad que estamos hartos de ver y en la que al menos yo nunca me fijo, ya que no me da muchas garantias, por que suelen ser anuncios hechos a mano 😀
