This is an amazing spot! Loved it
a little over the top…i mean, there are lots of beautifull models out there (i see people like that walking on the streets!!!). but, yes, i think that advertising models should be more diverse. not just young girls with long neck and big eyes.
does anyone know, if this a real software they use for retouching in this spot? or ist ist just some mock-up?
if real, it looks pretty awesome
thanks
Yes,
In Brazil, for exemple, the Real Beautiful idea hit the target. Public love it. Intelligent, congratulations Dove.
the softare doest seem like is photoshop , does anyone know what is that software use in the video?
The software used is Adobe, it’s the Camera RAW editor found in Adobe Bridge.
that is amazing.
I love this spot….it’s awesome! A nice addition to the real beauty campaign.
Love it!
Don’t you find it a little bit strange that the company, which now talks about the distortion of woman’s picture about beauty, has actually take part in this “demonic” process?
Yeah, hannibaal, I was thinking the same thing. Dove is also just a large corporation trying to make a profit and now they’ve got the “be natural” minority vote. Kind of ironic since people will now go and buy Dove beauty products, completely nullifying the point of the campaign. Or does anybody seriously think they are trying to get people to stop buying their products? Nonetheless, I think it’s a great message they are transporting here and I wish more would join in.
The toolbar along the side was just created to look like a generic photoshop-type program’s toolbar. Obviously, it would have cost money to get the rights to use a real program’s toolbar.
That said, I dig it.
Even though it’s hardly a new messgae, and despite the fact that all Ogilvy’s other clients do exactly this “evil’ retouching in their ads. One might call hypocrisy ont hat, but, I supposed to look beyond that, right? Okay, I will.
I love the adverts I am doing a research assisgnment at canturbury university in New Zealand. I am interested in any more information about the advertising campaign.
Statisics, how the ideas evolved etc.
Thanks,
Demelza

This is truly a great commercial with a good message. The majority of the public is still not aware of the fact that models are being severely Photoshopped and many base their self-esteem on what they see in magazines.
