This may seem ridiculously subtle, but could it be that the Jaguar on the hood is running away from the BMW? The hood ornament usually faces the other way.
I like that the “face” of the BMW is so much sronger and fierce than the Jaguar. The Jag’s face looks cowardly when placed alongside the BMW. I didn’t notice the backwards cat till I took a longer look.
I never endorse this kind of advertising. If you really need to show the competition to make your point, you have to do it in an utterly smart way. Which this does not.
I know what Harhar means. This is just a bit easy, you know. I remember this great print made for Bentley. You see this English lord giving the bird (stickin’ up his middlefinger) to the viewer. There is no text only the logo of Bentley. Maybe someone has a link to it? I wish I could show you.
More like the Jaguar is turning away cause the new bimmers are so ugly… Now with that said, you think I am going to say that Audi rocks & bmw sucks…. well…
Well yes, this is knocking the competition, and yes, it’s probably better if you can avoid doing that, but this is a great ad: subtle, with a touch of humour. Nice stuff.

It’s only natural the jaguar is running away, I’d be running away from the dealership as well if they offered me those rims :/

Makes the Jag more aerodynamic if it points that way.
