    OTTO

Model Eva Padberg personally presented the new Otto catalogue to thousands of homes across Germany. Whoever looked through the spyhole to see who was there saw Eva with the catalogue and the order number.

A little similar to the Papa Johns execution.

    Agency: Kolle Rebbe, Germany.

Seen a pizza delivery one of these things before. It was identical but with out the tits and with more cheese. Nice use of media all the same.

Yes, a similar concept was done for Papa John’s pizza earlier this year:

Does anyone really use spy holes anyway?

    9. Martina Says:
      December 12th, 2006 at 7:23 pm

Ok, it was done before. So to us, I mean us working in advertising it doesn’t look that innovative.

But I don’t think this is the point. As a consumer I would feel surprised and curious to find such an ad attached to my door.

Yes, it’s intrusive, but less than the dozen of leaflets we receive in our (offline :-) mailboxes everyday. What do you think?

    16. Bernd 79 Says:
      December 14th, 2006 at 6:23 am

Both ideas were submitted to the Cannesfestival at the same time. The only problem was, that the client “OTTO” wasn’t known by most of the people in the international jury. So it achieved only a placing on the shortlist. The Pizza achieved gold, as you all know.
Sometimes the client makes the difference not the idea…

Martina—I agree it’s no less intrusive than the tons of useless pap i find in my mailbox every day. The only downside is if the adhesive leaves a mess or pulls off paint.

Not the first tiny person for a spyhole, but these are a nice way of breaking out of the traditional junk mail realm. For now.

      @bernd 79@kollerebbe

Wow! Hot blond with big knockers! How original!
The idea is more appropriate for a pizza delivery guy.

Thousands of spyhole-equipped apartments in Germany? Wow, that’s almost a hundred street numbers. Incredible market penetration.

    22. Sam H Says:
      December 15th, 2006 at 9:51 pm

My final comment on this. One thing that makes this a weaker idea than the pizza one is that you get pizzas deliverd to your door by pizza blokes. You don’t, however, get magazines delivered to your door by gorgeous women in bikinis.

If you do, I want to live on their paper round.

Kolle Rebbe sucks. Or did anyone ever wonder, why they only have on-hit-wonders, but all their day-to-day-ads almost always make everybody vomit instantly.
