I think one of the reasons it may not have been obvious to the local McDonald’s or to the sign-writers who painted it is that here in Australia the word is spelled ‘arse’. ‘Ass’ is a donkey or an American ‘arse’.
I’ve driven past this sign maybe 10 times, and each time it’s wth a sense of anticipation (there’s not much to eat on that highway) - I never saw the M before…

Wonder if it is the Yass, New South Wales in Australia. I would hope there’s not anyone there that naive.

Yeah, as pointed out its a town in country New South Wales, Australia. It still makes me laugh every time i drive down to Canberra.

but even if that is “Yass open 6 AM”, that sounds not making sense…. who knows they intended to let us put “M”and “Yass” together by this visual?
and, if they really want to do so, why the sentence not be aligned to the logo?
The only conclusion is : a v.stupid visual solution
