what I really like is how they brought the water in!

Well done. And it gives the car a great personality. I might not buy a VW after all.

You can always count on Nissan for good commercials. I like how the commercial is a balancing act with the car in control.

Nice ! The end is too much, not necessary to show the game ..

^ I agree.

I saw this during Heroes S2E1 on TV. It was in HD. NBC went crazy and played it like five times!

I’ve been programed to hate this commercial. I t was aired thee times in succession at every commercial break during the premier of ” HEROS”! I must have seen it thirty times in one hour! I hate it!!!!!!

This commercial was so cool- loved those labyrinth games when I was little. Really well done.

Good idea, but it does not leave me with a sense of “that is a sweet car”… I walk away thinking “cool ad”. Additionally, I think the ad fell short of what it could have been. As mentioned, the game should NOT have been shown at the end - unnecessary, and will make the viewer ask “how dumb do they think people really are?”. My favorite part of the ad? The beautiful city shot at the beginning from the heli.

This commercial is great! I just saw it last night for the first time during The Office. Very creative twist to the classic marble maze game. Nissan definitely did an awesome job with this ad.

Why do people need to drive 4×4 cars in a city?
Isn’t it fully and truly crowded already?
I don’t understand this need to buy big fawking cars…
And I still don’t understand why you need special fx to show how a car drives. There is no one who will rock the city that way in real life. How stupid can you be to show a game at the end of the commercial?
Anyways, I don’t think this ad will make it even to the shortlists in Cannes. If it will win something, then Cannes is fawked up aswell.
More and more bad commercials everyday and they are on “repeat all” and “shuffle on”.
Nice.

Someone is just jealous I think. If what you say is true then there is no reason to be creative in advertising. Of course nobody is going to rock a city in real life dummy. Do you also not like movies? Spiderman is sooo fake! AHAHAHAHAHA
The fact you know what a shortlist tells me you are just a bitter bad creative.
Keep up the good work TBWA hope to see you in the books.

I think you missed a bit of the viral teaser campaign tied in with this TV spot.
A friend in Australia sent me the following comments (check out the links):
Viral Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNVkzw2e6V8
Viral Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGqEVJPT9-U
“Note how the first piece of viral does not actively promote the car (however there is a subtle piece of branding- see if you can spot it).”
And..
“The second piece is a little more in your face, but if you didn’t know it was a viral ad (which you all now know) you would probably think its just a doctored video of someone showing off.”
It has been unlike any car ad I’ve seen before. Kudos to TBWA\CHIAT\DAY.

Re: Ant, NBC didn’t go crazy and play it five times. Nissan bought all those timeslots.
Very cool commercial. I wonder if there needs to be a tagline other than Nissan. performance at the end.
GJ to the whole team!

Nissan and NBC went crazy because Nissan was the only sponsor for that episode, and they played the commercial three times in succession three seperate times during the episode.
I absolutely hate this commercial because of that, and I cringe every time that I hear it. Not to much the background music is just flat out annoying.
