Its a tough one. the photoshop work is evident even though its quite good. One thing I noticed was that it wasn’t a finished piece too much wasn’t blurred etc. their are multiple focal points which isnt the case of a camera. Ummmm my overall opinion is that scaring the fuck out of people hasn’t worked so why show pictures that dont work.. This is sick, but I saw it in a movie about Rwanda’s crisis in the 1990s… A priest’s volunteer from britain goes and asks the reporter how can you tolerate so much pain and endure so much violence. and the other white reporter claimed she humanly dealt with it by dissassociating herself with the environment and the people because of skin color.
Well, dont you think that happens today with western nations not giving a damn about Africans, this is a social issue. One thats larger than just an ad, but if you want to make social changes you have to hit home.
“How Could it be possible: Today’s lesson will be Torture in the 21st century.
It is possible… find out how you can help..”
A copy writer needs to step it up and cross people’s skin color stigmas. But thats just one guys opinion who knows.
Find out how you can help end this.. something like that. whoops Iam so not a copy writer but its an ad direction thats all.. so if your a copywriter out there trust me I am not taking out to offend your craft
Isn’t it hard to be a copy writer? Everybody who knows the alphabet thinks, he can do better. Sorry, but I read to many comments like: “copy should be this and that” past days.
I think the copy is quite good for these ads, but totaly agree with you, that the whole idea is not realy hitting the point.
Yea I bow to those that can write. I went to school to direct not to come up with how it actually works, unfortunately sometimes I am so visual the only way I can say it is by making an embarassing hunk of copy such as that
[…] Sehr starke Anzeige für Amnesty International von TBWA Paris. “300.000 CHILD SOLDIERS DREAM OF SIMPLY BEING CHILDREN.”
