In order to show the isolating consequences of being caught drink driving at Christmas, Leo Burnett London trapped an actual convicted drink driver under a giant upturned pint glass.

How much does a giant pint glass cost? Where would I purchase such a useful and egalitarian piece of glassware? Hmm… Maybe it’s one of those things where if you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it…
A similar campaign has been running in Holland for some months now, with exactly the same visual. It’s just aimed at kids drinking at a younger age every year:

Cool, but it’s called “drunk” driving.

…only in America matey, in the UK it’s drink driving.
Nowhere in the world is “a actual convicted driver” ever used… that’s a juvenile mistake.

Cool, but why bother with a “real” drunk driver? Seems like an actor would work better to really sell it.

That’s a deeply unpleasant idea. The modern equivalent of mediaeval stocks. Whoever came up with this must be a fan of Big Brother, the soulless twat.

Labmouse like feeling. Makes me remember the live mannequin models on shoppings.
