Wonderbra Rebranding
I just noticed that Wonderbra has undergone a big time facelift. They have parted ways from their thick serif font, and went with a more “modern” version. I am not sure if this was really needed, but it does give it a more “fresh” feel to the brand. I do however already miss the recognizable wordmark.
Your thoughts?

Thanks for the update Frederik. Whilst, as you say, the new logo has a more modern feel, I think it misses out on the “voluptuousness” of the original..
It seems a shame, to me, that they are moving away from the branding which gave us the memorable “Hello Boys” ads and appealed to both sexes.
Who’d have thought WonderBra would go “size zero”

I like how you integrated the words “…lift” and “parted” into this post.
Coincidence?

I think it lacks a womanly touch. Its not elegant enough.

WEAK!
Doesn’t stand out at all, really liked the old old better…

this is heartbreaking!!!
nnnnoooooo
how can they do that?
or what agency did it?

The new “modern” look doesn’t really do it for me.
It has lost the sexyness of the old font.

They could’ve at least done a subtle bosom reference by making the capital “B” they introduced symmetrical.

considerably less ample than before. i don’t think that’s the message they should be delivering.

boooooring. this is for a push up bra? hmm

i liked the fullness of the previous logo. this one doesn’t have enough… volume. should be thicker to reflect the brand. no delicate enough. seems flat…. oh!

Feels like a ‘web 2.0′ logo with the inner capitalization, for a product that’s not web 2.0. Looks like someone typed it in a font they liked and thought the “B” capital would look modern and new. Old was def better.

As a designer not a consumer its more modern. and its sleek. Branding alone wont sell this image.. but it is modernized.

Weak.

Totally agree with Stephen. Fucking Web 2.0!

Freddy looks over my shoulder to much
They’re a the middle of a re-branding, it’s really that simple. Coming from a very conservative past they need to fight and survive in a new kind of market. Also, we see the new sleeker and more defined mark but don’t have the follow up creative to see the marriage of the two.
Give it 6 months to see how it lives in a WonderBra ad.

Ug. Too web 2.0 looking. Doesn’t have fullness of previous.

The first questions I’d ask the WonderBra people are:
1) Do you think that your sales are sagging (oopss), if they are, due to the size and weight of your logo?
2) Will it make a real difference if you change the logo?

I think it’s a mistake. The brand is all about being voluptuous. Their new logo took them from a D cup to an anorexic A cup. Not very sexy. I also agree with an above comment that it looks very high-techish. Bad branding moving in my opinion.
