wtf. I doubt you could do that in america with peta but. But more importantly why is the poor cat being used to wash dishes.. How many people wash the dishes hung over lol.. I dont know i’ll have to give this a 2/5 but its not for american’s so Its hard to tell.
It doesn’t matter what country it’s for, this ad is terrible.
1. Hangovers ARE terrible. I don’t know where IS came from.
2. Hangovers don’t make you wash dishes with your kitten. They make you feel like shit and throw up but they don’t make you a friggin’ moron.
3. Worrying about PETA backlash is the least of this ads problems.
Taking a look at the firm’s site, the rest of their print advertisements aren’t much better. The standards where ever this is, aren’t very high apparently.
Of course no one does dishes when they’re hung over. That’s not the point. The point is to be absolutely absurd. To get you to take a closer look at the ad. And if you have a good, dark sense of humor, then you’ll laugh. The thought of washing your dishes with a kitten is not something to be taken seriously. It’s funny.
as a russian… i have to say that i am more offended by the stylists (or lack of) choice of satin robe. the print is hideous. although i have to say that lots of men in the 80’s wore silk robes.

“the best and sometimes the worst from around the globe”
this one is clearly the latter
there should be another byline something along the lines of
no cats were harmed during the making of this ad
some however might have been cleaned.

here’s a nice little write-up on how ridiculous this ad is:

This ad’s really funny to me.

I agree with Mcam !
its not about ur able to wash ur dishes when ur drunk or not !
its about the dark sense of humor of the situtation itself !
no one washes the dishes while in a hangover, when im in one i cnt even get out of bed !
But its about wht if u got out of bed ! u might be doing some shity stuff !!
the only thing missing in this ad. is:
the art director shuld have left dishes whipes tht kinda look like the kitty, to make sence of the confusion !
