Big in Japan is a Swedish reality show featuring two ordinary Swedes that have one month to make it big in Japan. These billboards are equipped with motion detectors and speakers. As people went by they set off craze Japanese fans, cheering and taking pictures of them.

Completely kickass, although they should have changed the sounds for the screams to something not so repeatable. 4/5

I’m torn. It’s a unique concept, but it’s also extremely irritating and obnoxious. I feel sorry for anyone who is waiting for public transit… the high-pitched squealing hurts my head.

It proves once again that if people get involved with an ad / marketing strategy, they will remember it!
You know all those people that walked by told at least 2-3 people about it during the day.
The majority probably looked at the website, why? Because something happened to them and that stuff sticks.
